Yoga and Meditation

Dance is an expression of ourselves and moreover it is just plain FUN! The act of dancing automatically sends you to a calmer, happier place allowing you to let go and release stress.

I fell in love with yoga 30 years ago when I moved to India. Since then, I have learned different styles of yoga and meditation that have contributed to my personal growth.

The Breathing Room is an expression of my unassailable intent to support and guide people to a life of well-being. As a nutritionist and a health writer, I’ve authored 2 books on healthy eating. I’m also a health coach specialized in mindful eating and helping people to stop dieting and become more aware of their food habits.

From yoga to meditation to movement, you will find what you are looking for at The Breathing Room; whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. You will also find a safe space and a community of like-minded people.

Having completed the levels I and II of AYUSH certifications, I have found my interest and expertise in hatha yoga using my knowledge of body anatomy and physiology! While I continue to practice other forms of yoga like vinyasa flow, Iyengar Yoga, Yin Yoga, my focus remains to be on correct postures and body alignments.

Coupled with the asanas, I have developed a deep understanding of different types of pranayama. Together – it allow the practitioners to connect their body, breath, and mind!
